Project CS
About The Car Club PDF Print E-mail
Project CS, the Coral Springs Teen Car Club, is revving up. With 20 members since its inception in September 2007, this car club is one of the few, if not the only, in Broward County geared toward teens. This club allows teens to come together to restore vehicles that the Coral Springs Police Department has confinscated.

Vice Mayor Vince Boccard wanted to create a program where teens can be involved in the community and, at the same time, learn a trade. Together with the City of Coral Springs, the concept of the teen car club came to fruition.

The club’s first project is a 2001 Chevy Blazer, which the teens hope to turn into the club’s very own show car. Project CS hosteed its first car show in February, and it was a huge success. More than 90 cars were displayed and hundreds of residents came out to lend their support.

The club meets weekly to discuss the team’s vision for the Blazer, and are working on executing their ideas — but Project CS needs your help!

Project CS is not only a car club — it’s a place where the City’s youth can learn technical and leadership skills.
