Project CS, the Coral Springs Teen Car Club, is revving up. With great success since its inception in September 2007, this car club is one of the few, if not the only, in Broward County geared toward teens. This club allows teens to come together to restore vehicles and interact not only with the automotive world but also with the local business community and restaurants to create a positive environment for teens to gather. City of Coral Springs Commissioner Vince Boccard wanted to create a program where teens can be involved in the community and, at the same time, learn a trade. Together with the City of Coral Springs, the concept of the teen car club came to fruition. The club’s first project is a 2001 Chevy Blazer, which the teens hope to turn into the club’s own show car. Project CS hosted its first car show in February, and it was a huge success. The club meets regularly to discuss the team’s vision for the Blazer and is working on executing their ideas — but Project CS needs your help! |
